Nov 27, 2008 (newstodate): Demands for a new airport to serve Russia's Omsk region are growing.
The region is currently served by Omsk Tsentralny Airport with a 2,5000m runway, but plans are to finish building of the long-awaited Omsk Fedorovka Airport that will replace Omsk Tsentralny.
The new airport will be owned by the regional government and financed by regional and external sources.
