Nov 21, 2008 (newstodate): Ukrainean carrier Windrose and Georgian carrier Georgian Airways have signed an interline agreement.
As passengers can thus buy tickets on flights by both airlines, the agreement creates an option for flights via Kiev between Georgia and Russia that are otherwise suspended during the current critical situation in the Balkans.
Since November, 2008, the privately-owned Ukrainean carrier Windrose operates flights between Kiev and Moscow, while Georgian Airways flies on the routes between Tblisi and Kiev.
