Nov 14, 2008 (newstodate): Estonian Air is planning for a leaner aircraft fleet with fewer aircraft and staff.
According to the Estonian media Aripaev, the carrier will phase out its fleet of six Boeing 737 aircraft, replacing them with three Bombardier CRJ900 and one Boeing 737 aircraft, moving to a pure CRJ900 fleet within few years.
Estonia's minister of economy told the same media that lack of visions by the SAS-led management is to be blamed for the airline's poor strategy and no long-term planning.
