Nov 5, 2008 (newstodate): Boeing has pushed the first flight of the 787 Dreamliner further back.
The recent labor unrest is blamed for the virgin flight to be delayed till Q1, 2009, from Q4, 2008, as earlier planned.
First delivery will therefor also not be performed in 2009, but rather early in 2010, entailing a full two years delay to the program.
Besides the recent strike, the program is also reportedly hampered by new problems with fairings, following earlier problems with software and other issues.
