Nov 28, 2008 (newstodate): Following a tender, the Czech carrier Czech Airlines has contracted Swiss Aviation Software Ltd. to implement its AMOS system for aircraft maintenance administration and management.
The implementation process ran from till November, and the system is now being fine-tuned and optimised for operational use.
AMOS will enhance aircraft maintenance planning, allow for better utilisation of all resources, including personnel and material resources, and enable a more extensive use of the data from the reliability tracking system.
Besides providing maintenance and inspections on the carrier's own fleet of 52 aircraft, CSA also provides heavy maintenance to external clients, including SAS Norway, Transavia Airlines, Air Berlin, and Lufthansa Technik.
