Oct 6, 2008 (newstodate): Three participants have qualified in the tender for the design of a new passenger terminal at Ukraine's Lvov International Airport.
The three companies are the Ukrainean Tebodin, the Czech Nikodem, and the Estonian EARengAS.
Plans are to build a new terminal, which together with the existing terminal will rise the airport's capacity to handling of 1,700 passengers per hour.
With assistance from the Austrian Vienna Airport Consulting the airport has developed a plan spanning till 2028, including construction of the new terminal and an extension by 700 m of its runway, currently 2,510 m long.
