Oct 16, 2008 (newstodate): Russia's Khabarovsk Airport in Siberia is seeing its cargo volumes rising in 2008.
During the first nine months of this year, the airport handled a total of 11,900 tonnes of cargo and mail, an increase by 5.5 percent, y-o-y.
Airfreight volumes were up 2.7 percent to 10,860 tonnes, while mail volumes increased 46.1 percent to 1,090 tonnes.
In May, 2007, AirBridgeCargo launched weekly freighter flihgts between Moscow and Khabarovsk, and Aeroflot Cargo is also planning to open a new regional hub in Khabarovsk.
