Oct 24, 2008 (newstodate): Among Scandinavia's airfreight markets, Denmark was alone in showing positive growth during the first half of 2008.
Denmark's IATA export cargo volumes increased by 6.6 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 38,794 tonnes.
In contrast to this, Sweden's IATA exports dropped 3.6 percent to 59,223 tonnes, and Norway's IATA volumes fell five percent to 39,381 tonnes.
Measured in turnover, all three markets were down, however, during January-June, 2008.
In Denmark, IATA export turnover was down four percent to 278.4 mio DKK, Sweden was down 5.2 percent to 603.4 mio SEK, while Norway's IATA exporet turnover fell 9.9 percent to 223 mio NOK.
