Oct 22, 2008 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines, based at Ekaterinburg, is planning for a major fleet modernisation.
The airline says it will have up to 20 Airbus A320 aircraft by 2012, three to five Boeing 767 or Airbus A330 long-haul aircraft, and three to five SuperJet100 and some ATR short-haul aircraft.
The airline currently operates five Airbus A320 aircraft and will take a 6th unit in November this year.
Ural Airlines has also ordered three Airbus A320 family aircraft from the factory, with two A320 to be delivered in May, 2009, and one Airbus A320 in July, 2009.
