Oct 7, 2008 (newstodate): The Romanian carrier Tarom is increasing its international services from Cluj International Airport.
With effect from October 26, 2008, Tarom will launch flights on a new route from Cluj to Rome, to be operated four times weekly.
And effective from December 8, 2008, Tarom will also start up a new route from Cluj to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, to be served thrice weekly.
The airport, the country's fourth-largest by passenger volumes, recently opened its new 4,000 sq m passenger arrival terminal, bringing its annual capacity to two mio passengers.
In December, the airport will complete work on a new 8,000 sq m departure terminal, capable of handling 800,000 passengers, or twice the volume of passengers generated in 2007.
TNT and TAROM Cargo operate cargo facilities at the Cluj-Napoca airport.
