Oct 16, 2008 (newstodate): Icelandair Cargo's hopes for more and bigger loads of fresh fish from Iceland due to the deflated Icelandic currency are not immediately shared by the industry.
-Prices for fresh fish in the European markets are driven by customer demand, and we do not expect to see any significant changes in the market situation despite the low value of the commodity in Icelandic Crowns, says a spokesman for Iceland Seafood International.
-We therefore also do not see Iceland's exports of fresh fish by air transportation to increase in any near future, he says.
