Oct 6, 2008 (newstodate): Icelandair Cargo has scrapped its visions of expansion into the European market.
-Current developments in the air cargo market do not warrant plans for expansion into new markets, and we must build our future on the basis of the Icelandic market, says Gunnar Mar Sigurfinsson, Icelandair Cargo managing director.
-In addition to this, we have a strong focus on the Scandinavian markets as well, and we plan to secure growth in cooperation with other partners, says Mr Sigurfinsson.
Icelandair Cargo operates a fleet of five Boeing 757-200F aircraft, three of which are employed on ACMI contracts.
