Oct 22, 2008 (newstodate): The Hungarian carrier Malev is pulling out from the North American market, building instead on code-share agreements with American Airlines.
On October 25, 2008, Malev will operate its last flight between Budapest and New York, and also retreated from the route Budapest-Toronto from September 21.
The carrier is now putting its two Boeing 767-300ER up for sale, as well as two Boeing 737 aircraft.
