Oct 29, 2008 (newstodate): The delivery of the world's first converted Q400 freighter is still pending.
The operator, Swedish cargo carrier Nord-Flyg now expects to receive the first of two converted Q400 freighters by November 17, 2008.
Originally slated for completion by August, 2008, the Q400 freighter delivery was later postponed till October 22, 2008 - and now rescheduled for November.
Nord-Flyg earlier said that the conversion delay by Cascade Aerospace, Canada, was due to design problems with the new cargo floor.
Nord-Flyg's second Q400 will be delivered by SAS for cargo conversion in Canada in the first week of November, and the conversion process is sceduled to require four to five weeks.
