Oct 16, 2008 (newstodate): The Armenian government has decided to construct a new airport in the southeastern part of the country.
Dzhermuk Airport will be built on the site of an existing decommissioned airport, and the plans include the construction of maintenance facilities and a helipad.
The project is expected to cost about 280,000 USD.
