Oct 31, 2008 (newstodate): Menzies Aviation Denmark ApS has filed for bankruptcy after the demise of Sterling Airlines on October 29.
With about 200 staff, Menzies handled forty flights per day on behalf of Sterling and without this continued business Menzies found itself unable to operate a viable business.
-Menzies has endeavored to find an alternative solution to bankruptcy but after an exhaustive review of alternatives it is clear that the business cannot continue. This is very unfortunate, but in the economic environment we find ourselves in it has been necessary to take this action, the company says in a statement.
