Oct 6, 2008 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw little growth in cargo and mail volumes during January-August, 2008.
The airport handled a total of 62,573 tonnes of cargo and mail, an increase by 3.8 percent, y-o-y.
Totals include 5,850 tonnes of domestic cargo, down 8.1 percent, and 37,824 tonnes of international cargo, unchanged against last year.
The totals also include 16,402 tonnes of domestic mail, rising 30.6 percent, and 2,497 tonnes of international mail, 29.4 percent, y-o-y.
August 2008 saw total volumes down 10 percent to 7,145 tonnes, with domestic cargo down 12.2 percent to 694 tonnes, and international cargo also decreasing 8.5 percent to 4,199 tonnes.
