Jan 15, 2008 (newstodate): Swedish company flysmaland has now launched its new route from Smaland Airport near Vaxjo, Sweden, to Vilnius, Lithuania.
The route, that was earlier operated from Smaland to Kaunas, Lithuania, is using SAAB 340 aircraft from Avitrans Nordic, with HQ at Stockholm Skavsta Airport.
From the outset the route is operated twice weekly, but plans are to add a third flight from March.
The regional airport of Smaland generated 170,300 passengers in 2007, up seven percent, y-o-y.
