Jan 29, 2008 (newstodate): 2007 proved another year of growth in cargo volumes at Sweden's Orebro Airport, the country's fourth-largest cargo airport.
The airport handled a total of 25,411 tonnes of flown and trucked air cargo, an increase by four percent over 2006 that was also a record year with 50 percent growth, y-o-y.
Behind the sustained growth is a steady growth in cargo charter operations with Boeing 747 and AN-124 aircraft, as well as rising volumes by TNT and, from May 2007, Post Sweden Logistics.
About one-third of the cargo volumes is generated by airline trucking services.
