Jan 25, 2008 (newstodate): In Februiary 27, 2008, the Romanian regional carrier Carpatair plans to launch flights between Timisoara and Odessa, Ukraine.
Initially offering three flights per week, the carrier will add a further three flights from March 25.
Plans are also advanced for new routes to Kiev, Ukraine, and Thessaloniki, Greece, to be served six and three times per week, respectively.
The carrier currently operates a fleet comprising two Fokker 100 and 11 Saab 2000 aircraft, but in the plans are acquisition of a further Fokker 100 aircraft and one SAAB 2000.
Carpatair is today the largest operator of the world's fastest turboprop aircraft, SAAB 2000.
