Jan 14, 2008 (newstodate): The Danish air navigation services provider Naviair introduced its new ATM system and new control tower at Copenhagen Airport on December 28, 2007.
Launched during the slack Christmas holiday season, the systems has performed flawlessly and without the expected temporary delays to the Scandinavian air traffic.
Naviair has ensured full compliance with the provisions of EC Regulation 2096/2005 on common requirements for a Single European Sky, and ESARR 4 in the preparation for the CASIMO ATM certification.
The new system will contribute to enhanced safety and capacity, and facilitate convergence with long-term European ATM objectives.
