Jan 3, 2008 (newstodate): Bulgaria's Sofia International Airport may soon see increased competition in ground handling.
Following on Swissport's admission, as the first foreign provider, to set up business at the airport from May, 2007, the airport authorities have received an application from the Greek provider Goldenair Handling.
The application will be considered by the Bulgarian authorities before the end of this winter, sources say.
Bulgaria Air is also providing ground handling for its own operations.
