Jan 25, 2008 (newstodate): Plans are underway for the modernisation of Tsentralny Airport, in southwestern Russia.
The airport has three runways, only one of which, 2,500 m long, is asphalt covered, and this runway will be extended.
Runways and apron areas will also be rebuilt, and airnav and runway lighting systems will be modernised.
