Jan 30, 2008 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is continuing its long-term airport modernisation program in 2008.
-Starting this year we are to modernise two airports and finishing up the third, says Azat Bekturov, Kazakhstan vice-minister transport and communications.
-The two new airports are Kyzylorda and Kostanay. The new upgraded and enlarged Aktobe Airport passenger terminal is due to be completed by September this year.
-Also starting in 2008 is the renovation of Aktau airport, with procedures drawn up by Aktau governor's office. The concession calls for the construction of a new runway and a new terminal building, says Mr Akturov.
