Jan 22, 2008 (newstodate): The Finnish carrier Finncomm Airlines has placed an order for five ATR 72-500 aircraft.
The new aircraft will be delivered in 2009/2010.
In 2005, Finncomm Airlines ordered eight ATR 42-500, plus options for eight additional aircraft.
In 2006 the airline converted four of the firm 42-500 into ATR 72-500 aircraft, and also announced the exercise of three of the options into firm ATR 72-500.
With its latest order, Finncomm Airlines completes the exercise of the remaining options and will become the largest operator of ATR 500 series aircraft in Europe, with four ATR 42-500 and 12 ATR 72-500 aircraft.
