Jan 2, 2008 (newstodate): Towards the end of the year, CHAMP Cargosystems landed five more users among cargo airlines.
Among the new customers are Lithuania's flyLAL, Russia's TESIS, and Uzbekistan's Uzbekistan Airlines .
The surge of contract signings in the last quarter of 2007 is part of what CHAMP sees as a worldwide trend to automate cargo businesses, and an acknowledgement in the industry that cargo carriers can no longer survive in the supply chain without automation.
-Automation, once considered an optional extra, has now become a necessity for survival in the cargo industry, says John Johnston, CHAMP CEO.
