Jan 14, 2008 (newstodate): Adria Airways has reported a strong performance in aircraft maintenance in 2007.
During 2007, the Adria Airways Aircraft Maintenance Division carried out service inspections on 94 aircraft owned by other airlines, including 66 CRJ type aircraft and 28 Airbus family aircraft.
The maintenance business generated earnings 28 percent higher than the calendar year 2006, exceeding planned turnover for the year by 17 percent.
Adria Airways launched its maintenance business in September 2002, when the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier authorized Adria as its only European heavy maintenance centre for CRJ aircraft.
In 2005, the company was certified by Airbus to perform aircraft manintenance work on Airbus A320 family aircraft as well.
