Jan 4, 2008 (newstodate): The three Baltic markets of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania fared differently in air cargo growth during 2007, statistics show.
Topping the list was Estonia's Tallinn Airport that grew its volumes by 19.7 percent, to a total of 22,764 tonnes.
Second came Vilnius Airport, Lithuania, where total volumes were up 3.9 percent, to a total of 5,780 tonnes.
At Riga Airport, Latvia, the volumes were down 35 percent in 2007, to 8,130 tonnes.
Blurring direct comparison, however, is the effect from different statistical counting, and the impact from trucked airline cargo not registered as air cargo in official airport statistics.
