Sep 3, 2007 (newstodate): The Slovakian lcc SkyEurope Airlines has announced the closure of its Budapest and Krakow bases from October 27.
The carrier will instead reallocate its capacity to Prague and Vienna.
-After much research we have decided that the way to achieve long-term success is to build our operation around Slovakia, Czech Republic and Vienna. These markets have a good mix of both leisure and business traffic and are growing rapidly with very healthy national economies and they have less pronounced seasonality than Krakow and Budapest, says Jason Bitter, SkyEurope Airlines CEO.
