Sep 26, 2007 (newstodate): The Russian carrier UTAir plans to replace its entire ageing fleet of 30 TU-134 aircraft during 2009-2012.
The carrier plans to open a tender for replacement of the TU-134 with SuperJet 100, An-148, Embraer or CRJ aircraft.
From 2008, the carrier will also replace its 20 Tu-154 over five years, replacing them with Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 aircraft.
Already in progress is a further plan to acquire 15 ATR-42 aircraft to replace the carrier's An-24 and Yak-40 aircraft.
