Sep 4, 2007 (newstodate): The new Thai carrier Krabi Airlines has now fixed November 1 as the launch date for its first flight from Krabi to Oslo, Norway.
One day later the carrier will add its first flight on the route from Munich.
From the start the airline will operate two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, planning to add three more aircraft during 2009-2010, and five more during 2011-2013.
During its first two years of operation, the airline will focus on serving Oslo and Munich, adding services to Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand and Brisbane in 2009-2010, followed by further plans for Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo, Osaka and Seoul during 2011-2013.
Krabi Airport was granted international status in spring 2007, and Krabi Airlines, set up by a group of ex-Thai International staff earlier this year, will become its first operator.
