Sep 4, 2007 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier FlyLAL is in the market for purchase of non-ETOPS Boeing 757 aircraft.
-We would initially like to purchase, rather than lease, one Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with one more to follow a year later, says Jonas Juodagalvis, FlyLAL.
-If succesful we will introduce the first aircraft on charter operations from summer 2008, with the second aircraft to follow from either winter 2008 or summer 2009.
-Consequently we will need to add pilots and technicians certified to this aircraft type that is not currently in FlyLAL's fleet, says mr Juodagalvis.
