Sep 27, 2007 (newstodate): Air Berlin airline has become the first foreign air carrier to join the Domodedovo Transfer Service Project.
Within the framework of the project, agreements were signed between Air Berlin and carriers Volga-Aviaexpress, VIM-AVIA, SCAT, Tatarstan, Perm Airlines, and Kuban Airlines.
As a result, starting from September 2007, passengers can buy tickets at special through-fares for connected flights to Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, and Dusseldorf with connections at Domodedovo from Volgograd, Aktobe, Taraz, Sochi, Barnaul, Magnitogorsk, Bratsk, Beloyarsky, Novy Urengoi, Omsk, Ufa, Vladivostok, Kazan, Perm, Krasnodar, Kogalym, Surgut, and Chita.
Air Berlin's step marks a significant milestone for Moscow Domodedovo Airport's endeavours to strengthen its hub function.
