Sep 12, 2007 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo reports a growth by 3.9 percent in total cargo volumes during August, 2007.
In total the carrier lifted 8,451 tonnes of cargo, of which the dominating Asian traffic contributed 5,193 tonnes, up 14.5 percent, y-o-y.
European cargo, 1,842 tonnes, was up 8 percent, while North America increased 1.9 percent, to 796 tonnes.
The carrier's scheduled charter cargo operations was down 59.8 percent, to 307 tonnes.
During January-August, Finnair Cargo's volumes reached 61,756 tonnes, up a meagre 1.8 percent, still driven by the Asian traffic's total of 35,877 tonnes, up 18.2 percent.
