Sep 17, 2007 (newstodate): Finnair's decision to opt for twin-engine Airbus aircraft has a bearing on the company's cargo capacity as well.
The aircraft models differ in range and cargo capacity. The A330-300 has a range of up to 10,500 km, and the A340-300 has a range of up to 13,350 km.
-The A330 works well on shorter long-haul flights as well as on routes where demand for cargo is smaller. The A340 can fly at full loads to our furthest destinations. This brings flexibility to our capacity management, says Jukka Hienonen, Finnair President and CEO.
