Sep 3, 2007 (newstodate): While maintaining a growth at 9.3 percent during January-August, Denmark's Billund Airport saw its volumes decreasing in August.
In total the airport handled 5,128 tonnes of cargo in August, down 0.4 percent, y-o-y.
The decrease was caused by a 10 percent fall in imports, to 2,309 tonnes, while exports continued to rise, up 9.2 percent to 2,819 tonnes.
During January-August, totals reached 38,737 tonnes, driven by a 17.7 percent rise in exports, to 21,239 tonnes, while imports slowed down to 17,498 tonnes, up only 0.5 percent.
