Sep 25, 2007 (newstodate): With the start of the winter schedule on October 28, 2007, Austrian Airlines will add further momentum to its Focus East strategy.
The carrier now operates services to 45 destinations and almost 600 flights a week to Central and Eastern Europe.
From the coming winter program Austrian's scheduled connections to Bucharest will increase from currently two to as many as three flights a day, and flights to Sibiu will be operated on a daily basis instead of today's six times a week.
In cooperation with Balkan Air, the carrier now operates up to five daily flights to Sofia, and in cooperation with JAT up to four daily flights to Belgrade are available.
Podgorica, Montenegro, will be served with five weekly flights as in the current wummer schedule.
Austrian will fly five times a week to Russia's Rostov-op-Dopn, and Krasnodar will be served six times weekly from this winter's program.
Also Kiev, Ukraine, will be served by Austrian Airlines with up to four daily departures in cooperation with Ukraine International Airlines.
