Sep 24, 2007 (newstodate): Aeoflot has again confirmed its sincere interest in taking over the Serb carrier JAT, due to be privatised.
During talks with a Serb government VP, Aeroflot's CEO confirmed its stand, adding that if Aeroflot takes over JAT the carrier will have a future as the leading Balkan airline, and not a mere commuter airline to feed traffic into Aeroflot's network.
The privatisation tender is expected to be opened by the end of 2007, with a winner to be proclaimed in 2008.
