Aug 3, 2007 (newstodate): The State Aviation Administration of Ukraine has revoked the AOC of the carrier UMAir, but Kiev Economic Court has overruled the suspension.
The privately-owned carrier has allegedly breached air safety standards and has also been banned from operations by German authorities.
The carrier that continues to operate domestic flights refuses the allegations and accuses the Transport Ministry of persecuting it.
Based at Kiev Boryspil International Airport, UMAir operates a fleet of nine aircraft, including four DC-9, two TU-134, and two An-24.
The Ukrainean authorities have also revoked the AOCs of Baltika and Aeromost Kharkiv for lack of adherence to air safety standards.
