Aug 20, 2007 (newstodate): ACT Airlines, headquartered in Istanbul, has signed an MoU with Airbus for delivery of two A330-200 freighters.
Founded in 2004, ACT Airlines currently operates seven Airbus A300 B4 aircraft. This new purchase will allow ACT to offer non-stop services between Istanbul to Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.
The A330-200F is a mid-size, long haul all-cargo aircraft capable of carrying 64 tonnes over 7400 kilometres in "range mode" configuration, or 69 metric tons up to 5930 km in "payload mode".
