Aug 9, 2007 (newstodate): During the first half of this year, Turkish Airlines saw its cargo volumes increasing by 15.7 percent, to a total of 87,000 tonnes.
The carrier is currently converting three Airbus A310 aircraft into freighters that will be introduced into commercial services by the end of this year.
The new capacity will enable Turkish Airlines Cargo to open operations to new destinations in markets including the CIS countries and the Middle East.
