Aug 23, 2007 (newstodate): Estonian Air has announced the retirement of its current CEO, Borge Thornbech with effect from August 22, 2007.
The carrier has named Andrus Aljas, currently serving as Estonian Air VP and CFO, as interim CEO, while the final decision on assignment of a new CEO will be made next year.
During 1996-2000 Borge Thornbech was the first CEO of Estonian Air after privatisation of the airline, returing to take up this position again from January 2005.
Estonian Air is owned by the SAS Group, the State of Estonia and the Estonian investment bank Cresco.
