Aug 17, 2007 (newstodate): Sweden's Norrkoping Airport prepares for the resumption of Icelandair Cargo's flights after the summer break.
On April 2, 2007, Icelandair Cargo had its first flight with Icelandic horses to Norrkoping after a year's suspension, and is expected to operate 10-12 flights per year.
-We would like to see Icelandair Cargo to take also Swedish exports on their return trip as Iceland is a perfect transfer point for air cargo exports to the USA, says Jorgen Nilsson, Norrkoping Airport marketing manager.
According to mr Nilsson, Icelandair Cargo has actually accepted export loads on some flights already, and the airport hopes for this to develop.
