Aug 17, 2007 (newstodate): After two or three cargo flights from China in July, Baltic Airport Schwerin in Germany is preparing for a massive increase in freighter traffic.
-From September the airport's new owner, Chinese Zhengzhou-based logistics company, LinkGlobal Logistics Co, will launch a regular freighter service from China, scheduling five weekly operations with any size of aircraft including Boeing 747 freighters, says Peter Bolz, Cargologic Schwerin-Parchim manager.
-The imports will be mainly transfer cargo, continuing by road feeder services to other points in Germany and Europe, but with a 3,000 sq m warehouse we are also capable of storing shipments. New staff will be added to the workforce as needed, says mr Bolz.
