Aug 17, 2007 (newstodate): The Russian airline VIM-Avia has signed an agreement with Boeing for new aircraft deliveries.
The carrier will take up to 15 Boeing 737-900 aircraft, with deliveries in 2013-14.
The aircraft will replace the carrier's current fleet of 16 Boeing 757-200 aircraft, and as an interim solution VIM-Avia will monitor the market for used Boeing 737-500 to start phasing out the ageing 757-200 aircraft.
