Aug 3, 2007 (newstodate): Japan and South Korea have signed an Open Skies Agreement covering both cargo and passenger services.
Under the agreement, excepting the cingested airports of Tokyo, the two sides have agreed to lift all restrictions on frequency, capacity and destinations.
Korean Air and Asiana currently operate a combined 330 services per week to 25 cities in Japan, while ANA and Japan Airlines offer 92 services per week to two cities in Korea.
