Aug 8, 2007 (newstodate): The new Swedish airline, Fly Excellent - in the air since June 17, 207 - is expecting to receive its second aircraft by next week.
The carrier will operate two MD-83 aircraft on charter and ACMI contracts, and the first aircraft is currently operated for the Latvian carrier airBaltic.
-We acknowledge that the MD-83 is not exactly a modern, fuel-efficient aircraft but in the current market conditions it is next to impossible to find newer aircraft available. We are of course looking into future possibilities for Airbus or Boeing aircraft, says Matthias Johnsson, Fly Excellent flight operations manager.
