Aug 24, 2007 (newstodate): Norway's new Moss Rygge Airport has landed its first airline customer: Norwegian.
The carrier has announced Rygge to become its new base for an initial route network comprising 14 destinations from February, 2008.
Among these are flights to Belgrade, Budapest, Istanbul, Palanga, Szczecin, and Warsaw.
From the start, the carrier will base two Boeing 737-800 aircraft at Rygge, with the first by start-up on February 14, 2008, and the second to join from March 13.
Moss Rygge Airport, a Norwegian airforce base, will start commercial operations from October 1, 2007.
