Aug 30, 2007 (newstodate): Planning its first flight to Beijing on March 30, 2008, Polish airline LOT has ambitions for a rebound in intercontinental flights.
LOT's connection with the capital of China will be the first Polish direct flight to Far Eastern countries in nearly 10 years.
Initially, flights will be performed with Boeing 767 aircraft. However, from the autumn of 2008, Boeing 787 Dreamliners will also start to operate on this route.
-The Boeing 787 aircraft will make it easier for us to enter the Asian markets. Therefore, we are also analysing other route options, says Piotr Siennicki, LOT president.
-Maybe soon we will be able to introduce flights to Seoul, Hanoi or Tokyo, he says.
