Aug 8, 2007 (newstodate): In July, the Lithuanian carrier DOT, owned by the Danish carrier DAT, received its third freighter, a converted ATR-42.
-The aircraft is aimed for charter operations and wet-lease arrangements and is now operated by ACS, says Evaldas Petkus, DOT CEO.
-We are also in the process of registering a new ATR-72 aircraft to be used in charter and wet-lease operations. This aircraft will start commercial flights with Nordic Airways for operations in Sweden, he says.
Of DOT's total of eight aircraft, only the two SAAB 340 are used on the carrier's own routes.
